Kerewan Area Council on Friday approved an emergency fund of D50,000 in fight against the deadly coronavirus.
This amount was unanimously agreed during an emergency council meeting attended by all Councillors of the region.
Kerewan Area Council is the administrative headquarters of North Bank Region, which is among the regions that bordered The Gambia and Senegal.
“It was unanimously approved by all (councillors) to allocate an amount of D50,000 which will be used to buy equipment relevant to fight against the virus with the collaboration of the red cross society,” the KAC said.
